The Security Department of Freeport Harbour Company is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Security Officer. The Security Officer is responsible for the Security functions at Freeport Harbour Company providing protection to people, premises, property, and cargo, and securing access to all entry points while maintaining compliance with all international maritime requirements and regulatory bodies.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Two years experience in the security field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must have successfully completed the ISPS Facility Security Officer Training. 
• Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with management, employees, and the general public.
• Ability to understand and operate under the Incident Command System.
• Ability to understand and operate under the International Ship and Port Facility 
• Security Code (ISPS Code) and the International Maritime Organization IMO) Treaty.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

• To protect the property of the Freeport Harbour Company by securing access to all entry points of the property with particular attention to wharf side, operational areas, berths, terminals, buildings and perimeters.
• Security compliance with ISPS requirements.
• Responsible for identity and vehicle checks for persons entering the Harbour.
• To patrol all areas of Freeport Harbour this shall include the outside perimeters.
• To monitor and control the flow of vehicular traffic entering and leaving the facility.
• Handling routine and emergency phone calls, operating the base radio station, directing and controlling vehicular traffic, vessel, and pedestrian traffic.
• Maintain Diary, prepare Patrol Forms, Log Books, and Incident Reports daily as required. 
• Ensure that all Parking Regulations are enforced as per Harbour Rules and Regulations and the ISPS Code.
• Check cargo entering and leaving the facility and ensure that seals are intact and that the cargo documentation matches the cargo and container leaving the property.

• Ensure that all buildings are secure.
• Security Officers are to respond to security situations in a professional and timely manner and under the direction of the Security Supervisor.
• Security Personnel are to be on time, at the appropriate duty station, and in uniform.

The Facilities Department of Freeport Harbor Company is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Master Mechanic. The Master Mechanic will be responsible for overseeing the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring that all machinery and vehicles are operating at optimal performance. Key duties include supervising and mentoring junior mechanics, conducting complex repairs and diagnostics, and performing routine maintenance on various mechanical systems, including engines, hydraulics, and transmissions. The Master Mechanic will also be responsible for ensuring all work is completed in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and will play a critical role in maintaining the operational efficiency of the company’s fleet and equipment. Additionally, the Master Mechanic will assist with troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues as needed to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of a high school Diploma, vocational mechanical training and/or direct diesel repair experience.
• Certification in Diesel Engine Repairs or Technology from a Technical or Trade School. 
• Certification in a recognized standard of achievement for diesel service technicians and/or mechanics.
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ actual or equivalent experience in the position.
• Possess the ability to repair and maintain the diesel engines that power the diesel engines that power the vessels and machines assigned to the Marine Operations Department. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Have acquired skills and knowledge regarding troubleshooting; repair of and construction of diesel engines.
• Must have the ability to read, interpret and analyze maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, trade manuals, governmental regulations, and other documents.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and averages.
• Possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited information exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Possess the flexibility to adapt to changes in the workload or environment.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 100 lbs with reasonable accommodations, maintain acceptable work standards and legibly write and follow repair orders.

• Diagnoses and performs accurately all phases of craft and vehicle repair;
• Removes, cleans, repairs, reinstalls and adjusts all craft and vehicle components;
• Properly uses and legibly completes work orders manually;
• Safely uses all power and hand-held mechanic’s tools;
• Selects appropriate action for all craft and vehicle repairs during the diagnostic process;
• Maintains assigned work areas in a safe and clean manner;
• Evaluates completed work and conducts final inspection of equipment prior to release back into service;
• Cleans exterior of all Marine Operations maintained craft and vehicles prior to release back into service, if needed;
• Adds lubricants and other fluids to all Marine Operations maintained craft and vehicles as needed;
• Strives to complete work in a timely fashion;
• Ensure that all operational logs are properly maintained;
• Ensure that all mechanical information is duly updated on the computer system;
• Production of a planned maintenance schedule for Marine Operations craft and vehicles; 
• Ensures that craft fuel, oil and lubricant levels are maintained at acceptable levels;
• Attends training classes at FHC’s expense, as required;
• Other duties as assigned by the Marine Operations Manager or the Coxswain Supervisor.

Key duties include conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and repairing or replacing faulty parts. The Diesel Mechanic will ensure that all work is completed to the highest safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role also involves assisting with general equipment maintenance to ensure the fleet remains in safe, efficient, and operational condition for daily use.

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of a high school diploma, vocational mechanical training and/or direct engine repair experience.
• Certification in Mechanics/Engine Repairs or Technology from a Technical or Trade School.
• ASE Certifications
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ actual or equivalent experience in the position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to work from blueprints or technical documents.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical defects.
• Must be able to carry out repairs with and without supervision.
• Knowledge of Computer applications, engine repair, and applied automotive techniques.
• Must be able to work with oils, lubricants, fuels and other petroleum products.
• Understands the use of all safety equipment, practices and PPE as required.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Required to stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as part of the work function.
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold and extreme heat.

• Repairs and maintains all equipment and machinery under the maintenance responsibility of the Fleet Maintenance Department.
• Carry out minor overhauls, repairs and adjustments to engines, transmissions, differentials, and other related mechanical systems on equipment.
• Determine the extent of necessary repairs; replace and repair faulty or damaged parts; determine repairs beyond the shop's capabilities.
• Operate hand tools, and other required machinery and equipment in a safe and responsible manner consistent with internationally acceptable standards.
• Maintains work and material records in either electronic or written format as directed.
• Maintains a clean and tidy work environment.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
