Ten FCP Team Members are now internationally certified associate trainers following a successful ‘Train the Trainer’ Workshop and application to the International Board of Certified Trainers (IBCT).
The workshop (held December 19th -21st, 2021) was coordinated by the HR Learning & Development division with a goal of equipping and strengthening company instructors with the relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to provide high level and quality training.
The targeted participants were current company instructors as well as other team members who facilitate training sessions, on occasion.
While this workshop was limited to a maximum of 10 participants, the Learning & Development Team hopes to host additional sessions in the future, equipping our team members to empower one another through knowledge and instructional training.
Our team presently conducts training in the following areas:
- Berth Operator Training
- Straddle Carrier Training
- Crane operators Training
- Crane Checkers Training
- Engineering On-the-Job Training
- Orientation
- Supervisory Training
- Safety Training
- First Aid, CPR, & AED Training
We anticipate that our in-house trainers will further champion our culture of continuous improvement, utilizing these new skills to facilitate more engaging programs, resulting greater productivity from team members. Congratulations to our new IBCT Certified Trainers!
