FHC is Ripe for Expansion
The Freeport Harbour is the largest and deepest man made harbour in the region. It has about 20 berths and 4400 meters of birth line. The depth alongside these berths range from 8 m to 15.5 m. The Harbour currently has about 1300 acres of land in its current inventory. 749 acres of that land is the sea air business center which is located just adjacent to the Harbour.
Large & Small Cruise Vessels Welcome
Hutchison Ports FHC can accommodate major cruise vessels and small cruise ship, handle up to one million visitors annually. Facilities are in place to accommodate cruise and day ferry visits, containerized and LTL cargo, car transshipment, wet docking and ship repair facilities. There are five roll-on/roll-off vessels berths, and two 900 feet wet docking berths. Vessels with a maximum draft of 30 feet can be accommodated alongside. Additionally, cruise vessels of up to 1,000 ft. in length overall can be facilitated. Tug boat and pilot services are also available.
Retail Village
When disembarking from cruise vessel one can browse and choose from a vast selection of souvenirs hand crafted by our local Bahamian artisans, or explore brand name stores such as Harley Davidson, Del Sol and Silver Traditions. One may wish to try the local cuisines from a myriad of Bahamian restaurants or taste an international flavor from Senor Frogs or Dick and Willys.
